5 Star Productions is a family run business, spanning three generations. We always keep safe, movie experienced livestock appropriate for the task at hand. Cast horses, driving horses, stunt horses and specialty horses are always available. All other farm animals are also on hand and we can arrange for any small animal or exotic needs a company has as well. We have extensive knowledge of, and can offer advice regarding period appropriate equipment. We offer the largest inventory of horse drawn vehicles in the industry with over 200 wagons, carriages and coaches in stock to suit any time period or artistic vision. We believe in providing realistic budgets and sticking to them. Our crew is dedicated to safety and efficiency.

Our business originated in the carriage restoration business, rebuilding upscale antique carriages and coaches. The knowledge gained from that has been invaluable working on period films Our family history of farming, raising livestock, and training horses also prepared us well for this line of work.

Our first break into the film industry came when we furnished the hero carriage and horses for the film “Last Of The Mohicans”. Building on that, we worked around and for world renowned film animal wranglers and trainers improving our knowledge of the business. Over the past several years, our experience has been expanded beyond farm animals and horses to include small animals and exotics while coordinating different types of shows. All of these experiences have led us to where we are today, coordinating animals large and small.
